Quest 4: History in Verse
Complete sentences are not always necessary to describe thoughts and feelings to readers. A simple poem can perfectly depict trials and celebrations through the eyes of fourteen year old, Billie Jo in Out of the Dust. Your task is to find a poem, through a Google search, that is about the Great Depression or a poem that focuses only on the Dust Bowl. Remember to use specific keywords that will lead you to a poem on the Great Depression. After finding your poem, remember to note where your poem was taken from and record that on the poem. Complete all parts of this quest before submitting your assignment.
Review: Keywords * Use quotation marks to group words together Example: "Out of the Dust" * Only include words that are necessary to your search - the, a, for, etc. are not necessary * When searching for multiple words within a single search, combine those words or phrases using Boolean Logic "AND" *Be specific |
